Module 1 | Role of the Purser
In order to take this course you need to have at least 2 years of experience on board a yacht over 60m. The reason for this is that without this experience it is unlikely that you will be considered for a purser position and thus any purser course you do is a waste of your money.
Crew with purser experience on a cruise ship are excellent candidates for moving to a yacht-based purser role, especially on larger yachts.
You will also need to email a copy of your passport to firstname.lastname@example.org for your certificate.
Regulations are constantly changing. Every effort has been made to ensure that the content is correct and we endeavour to update the content from time-to-time, however it is your responsibility to check the rules and regulations that pertain to your role on board.
